Am I more beautiful at the beach?

So, I was thinking this morning as I was getting ready to run to Harris Teeter....why haven't I put a speck of make-up on since arriving at the beach? And, why was I even considering going out the door without it? I looked in the mirror and decided "nope, don't need it". So, I just left. I wasn't self conscious. I didn't think I had to throw a paper bag over my head. I didn't secretly hope that I wouldn't run into anyone I knew (which does happen frequently here). I've been to restaurants, stores, cute little boutiques and on fun little jaunts--sans make-up. This would never happen at home. NEVER. I wear lipstick to answer the door for heaven's sake! It's not for lack of make up! I have a shit load of it with me. My toiletry bag rivals my shoe bag. Now, that's saying something. So, why do you think I don't bother to put it on here? Is it because I have a tan? Is it because I'm not stressed to the point of having circles under my eyes? Do I feel thinner and prettier? Or....does vacation change my priorities? I just don't know.

What do you think? 5 points for anyone to has the courage to answer.........

I love that about being at the beach... I'm the same way. I feel beautiful without make up and confident enough to show more skin. Maybe the all day sun exposure makes us delirious.

Ahhh, this is where we differ. I can tell you the two times in my life that I had makeup on.
9/15/83 (my wedding day)
12/3/89 (Carmella's wedding, she made me go with them to the salon)
But I always feel like I'm wearing make up on when I'm on vaca. I think its the sun.

I never wore any makeup this past week at all at the beach. I finally have a bit of color and my hair always lightens a bit and I love the way it looks in the sun. So red!! It must be all that vitamin D we soak up that makes my skin look so clear and radiant!!

Judi,
If I know you as well as I think I do; you don't wear make up at the beach because you feel comfortable and you are with love ones.

I never wear make up on my weekend job because I don't have to impress anyone because they are heavily medicated. ;)

Probably a combination of all the things you mentioned, but I'm betting that lapbanded thinness plays a big part. : )

I think the make up goes by the wayside at the beach because we also don't bump into too many people from home.

Size 6 please!

Do we have to mention shoe size on every comment.
Do I really need to remind all who read your blog that I have big feet?
