Make me feel good!

Come on!
Tell me you still have your Christmas decorations up.......
Because I'm feeling mighty badly about the fact that.....yes.....I do.
Misery loves company.
No. No. Misery NEEDS company....
So, fess up friends.....

Here, I'll start....

My Christmas tree is still standing in all it's glory, my front door still greets everyone with a hearty greeting, Santa is still waving at passersby, the stockings are still hung by the chimney with care, the Christmas china is still sitting on the dining room table, the holly crystal is sitting beside it, the lights are still twinkling, the bathroom is still adorned.....
At least I can say that it's no longer Christmas in the kitchen.
And, some of the dining room decor is packed away.
But, all the containers filled with the kitchen and dining room Chrsitmas shit are sitting in the corner of the dining room.

Last night, as I dragged myself in the house at 9:30 pm--after a full day of work--I spied the Christmas tree....ugh.....then, I asked myself--is this the way the rest of the world lives or just me?
I figured I'd ask my blog friends.......
Just a quick caution--all of you who have your Christmas decor neatly tucked away for next year need not reply.
Even though I love ya.....this ain't the moment to share that good news.

Well.... I'm sorta with ya!

The inside is put away - but my 4 year old keeps pointing out that the wreath is still on the door.

Really can't be bothered!!

bwahahaha.

j/k.

the only reason my crap is put away is b/c of my busy body husband...no thanks to me really. but i do confess that i came across a christmas ornament this morning and rather than walk it down into the basement and to it's rightful container i tossed into the trash can......and did i mention it was hand knit?

The little amount of decorations I put up are still up. Light on the mantel have prob. been lit a total of 5 or 6 times at the most!!
As for keeping them up. THis year I broke my record. One other time, I took them down on MLK day.

Hey, I just thought of a great business venture. I go to people's homes and take down and pack away their Christmas decorations. Sort of like my awning man. He takes them down, I notice a week later. Then in May, one day poof! They appear!!!! Back from their winter vacation.

We still have one little tree up in the sun room. It's just that the sun room is all closed up. But worse...we have a cake in there in a box from 12/25/10 also. Maybe by spring after it's petrified I will throw it away!

I always figured Super Bowl Sunday was the day to shoot for to have Christmas gone. And then the NFL keeps pushing it later and later into the year. Yeah me!
