  The"American Venus" based on Miss America 1926's silhouette measured  34, 26.5, 37.5.

 

In today's thin-thin-obsessed world.....The American Venus of 1926 is a PLUS-SIZE model.  

That makes me an PLUS-PLUS-SIZE model.  
If I were a model. of course.....

Fast forward to today........this is the "American Venus".......

Here we have Miss America 2013......what are her measurements?

 There's no doubt about it....she is beautiful.  However, what makes her beautiful?  Her body? Her mind? Her face?  Her measurements?

Is today’s ideal body shape  a bizarre combination of male desire and waifish androgyny?  You know....thin, no hips, big bust?

  Is it the strong hold that the media has on us that makes her beautiful?   Have we been convinced that this is what we need to look like to be considered Miss America material?  Heaven help us all.  

This is what our children see.  Is this how we look at ourselves and compare ourselves?

  So many questions.......that's the way is always is when it comes to math......
